Job Summary
As a Systems Developer at MilkBox, you'll work on creating sophisticated web app platforms, building automation tools, and scaling our infrastructure for B2B clients on a global scale. This role is perfect for someone who loves systems thinking, enjoys automation, and wants to work on real-world problems.
Working remotely and full-time, you will have the opportunity to integrate cutting-edge services and tools, directly contributing to the performance and scalability of international email marketing campaigns.
Important ⚠️: Your role will focus on automation and operations surrounding the service's delivery, without managing or configuring email servers directly.
What We're Looking For
You'll be our go-to person for anything code-related. The platform is built—your job is to make everything better: the API, the backend, the automations, the integrations, and whatever else the company needs. Today that might mean refactoring our API to be secure and scalable. Tomorrow it might be a completely different project. You're not here for one system—you're here to solve problems fast and well, across the board. We need someone who learns quickly, takes ownership, and doesn't wait to be told what to improve.
What Makes You a Good Candidate
- Experience writing production-quality code—clean, documented, with thoughtful error handling and security awareness

- Experience in Email Deliverability
- Experience working in a B2B business
- Experience in DevOps
- Experience with Supabase or similar (PostgreSQL databases + web app security & authentication)
- Experience with Airtable, Stripe, Render, Vercel, or similar tools
- NOTE: Experience with most of our stack is not required, as long as you are smart and can learn fast. There will always be new projects that will require learning new skills.

Your Responsibilities
What you'll be doing on a daily, weekly, and as-needed basis
📅Daily Tasks
- •Web Platform Maintenance: Ensure that the backend and automations in the database are always operational, supporting processes such as account creation and domain updates.
- •Stability Monitoring: Constantly check that automations and databases are working perfectly.
- •Internal Technical Support: Answer team questions and resolve issues related to infrastructure and automations.
- •Flow Optimization: Adjust and improve routines on the platforms we use according to the team's demands.
- •Integrations & API Work: Implement and improve integrations with third-party services; refactor API endpoints for security and scalability.
📊Weekly Tasks
- •Continuous Analysis and Improvement: Examine usage patterns and operational data to propose improvements and new integrations that increase service quality.
- •Security Review: Monitor potential vulnerabilities and implement fixes to ensure system integrity.
- •Alignment Meetings: Participate in weekly meetings to report issues, share suggestions, and update project progress through synchronous or asynchronous meetings or written documentation.
⚡When Necessary
- •Special Projects: Contribute to initiatives that the company needs, such as new automation features, internal tools, or entirely new product offerings.
- •Documentation and Training: Develop practical guides for internal use and/or for the support team.

First 30 Days
Learn the tools, internal processes, and all concepts around our niche. Immersion in the existing platform architecture, backend systems, and automation workflows. Identify priority bugs and quick wins. Begin groundwork on API security improvements, pending features, and new automations for our workflows.
First 60 Days
API and pending web app integrations are complete. You're fully onboarded—not just on the codebase, but on the product, the niche, and the reasoning behind our systems. Your focus shifts from execution to ownership: researching competitors, spotting gaps, and proposing improvements without being asked.
First 90 Days
Full autonomy over all backend systems, automations, and technical decisions. The API and platform are now clean, documented, reliable, and scalable. You're the person the team relies on for anything code-related—and increasingly, for ideas that improve the business, not just the systems.
After 6 Months
Trusted to lead any technical initiative the company needs. Drive continuous improvement across all systems. Mentor future team members if needed. Help shape the technical direction as MilkBox expands into new offers and markets.

One-month trial period with weekly check-ins. We'll evaluate progress together and formalize the long-term arrangement if it's a good fit.
